Business Development Representative responsibilities include:
Building relationships with SME’s
Presenting our company to potential clients
Performing initial financial analysis to confirm company’s strength and borrowing capacity

We are looking for a Business Development Representative to act as the liaison between our new corporate clients and our funding partners. Your role will be to seek new business opportunities by contacting and developing relationships with potential SME’s.
To be successful in this role, you should have previous experience building business relationships, meeting sales quotas and have a proven competency understanding financial reporting. You will use your communication skills to cultivate strong relationships with clients, from first contact until the close of transaction. You will also ensure proper after-sales service. If you are motivated and results-driven, and enjoy working in a team environment, we’d like to meet you.
Ultimately, you will boost sales and contribute to our long-term business growth.
Responsibilities
Identify and Qualify leads
Contact potential clients through cold calls, emails and events
Present our company to potential clients
Identify client needs and suggest appropriate products/services
Build long-term trusting relationships with clients
Proactively seek new business opportunities in the market
Set up meetings or calls between (prospective) clients and underwriting team
Stay up-to-date with new products/services and new pricing/payment plans
Requirements and skills
Proven work experience as a Business Development Representative, Sales Account Executive or similar role
Hands-on experience with multiple sales techniques (including cold calls)
Track record of achieving sales quotas
Experience with CRM software (e.g. Salesforce)
Familiarity with MS Excel (analyzing spreadsheets and charts)
Understanding of sales performance metrics
Excellent communication and negotiation skills
Ability to deliver engaging presentations
BA in business administration or a related field
3 - 5 years of sales and/or finance experience
Remuneration
This is a commission based position, so it is skills and performance driven.
A successful candidate can expect to earn between $150,000 and $450,000 annually.
Exceptional BDM’s can earn even more.
